Hello guys! I’m getting a little irregular nowadays, aren’t I? Though my life is getting a bit hectic, I can never  get over my addiction to wattpad and nor do I want to.

In between my busy schedule, the one story that kept me addicted till the end was [sic].

Since I had previously read a romantic wattpad story, THE HOODIE GIRL, I was browsing to read a story from Mystery genre, when I found this really interesting and weird looking title and thought of giving it a try. Sometimes I just have this habit of not reading the brief intro of the story the author provides, because I do not like to know the details of the story before hand. So the title offering very little information, and me, having no clue as to what the story is, started to read it. Read on to find out my take on it.

TITLE: [sic]

The story is a very refreshing and a new one, nothing like I have ever read, not in wattpad, and not even from the novels I had read. The story revolves around a game, ‘Eureka’. It is not just a fun game, it is based on the psychology of the human mind, on how it responds and accepts the situations that are indirectly spelled out to us by the society.

David, the founder of Eureka, is fascinated by people characterizing themselves based on how the others want us to be. He starts experiments to try to see if he can change the way they perceive themselves and sometimes harming people in the way, but not really caring about its after effects. Jacob, is a friend of David and he, along with five others are involved in playing the game, Eureka, with David.

Eureka is a game in which a person, when tagged, has to change his/her life within 15 minutes. David believed that it brought out people to do things which normally they wouldn’t. As the game went on between these six high school students, there arises jealousy, ego, deception and some hard truth, which changes the their lives totally. But whatever the game did to them, it didn’t matter as they got addicted to it, which was the only source of constant change in their miserable life.

With the bumps along the way comes the real twist, the death of their leader, David.

The story starts off with the death of David, and Jacob explaining all about the game and the things it did to their life.

The story kept me hooked till the end. The author had did a very commendable job of detailing the intricacies of the human tendency, and paralleling it with their lives.

The last message from the story that, change is constant, that it is better to adopt to changes voluntarily, before change forces itself on us, just nailed the whole crux of it.

A brilliantly written piece worth every second to spend!

For all those people in relationships planning and dreaming about your Valentine’s night, and those who had a very romantic day with your loved ones, and those who had a nasty day, (don’t worry, not all days will be in peaks, your time will come, so smile please ☺), a very HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY! 😁😁😁 For those single people in search of love, let this Valentine’s day be a new accumulation to the already existing romanticism, and I want you to know that your future partners are so lucky that you have been saved for them for a long time! 😇

Today’s special review for Valentine’s day is a cute romantic story, set in a high school. There is nothing about mystery or a big twist in it, but just the way you could feel the romance brewing between the couple is enough to make you keep going on. The cuteness level is so damn high that you could almost gush at them sometimes!

I’m not going to reveal more this time and grab your dose of fun reading it, other than the fact that, Wren is a cute, shy high school girl, with some sad past and doesn’t even realize that she is cute. And Asher is the heartthrob of the school who happens to gey acquainted with her.

The friendship between Wren and Mia, her best friend, the fun they all have together with Asher’s friends, and the love and bonding feel so real.

You can be cheesy for once and read this one for Valentine’s day, as it will make you fall for Love more!

A happy story on a happy day to lift your spirits up!

Hey folks! I cannot apologize this time with any valid reason for not updating any reviews. It’s just that I haven’t gotten around to read more wattpad stories. So finally I made myself to select one story to see if its good to review. And once when I started it, there was never stopping until I completed the story. Read on to find out the review of the story that intrigued me!

This is a fiction story based wholly on zombies. When a virus spreads around the whole of world and people starts turning into zombies, Cash, a normal working woman in US, takes a hold of the situation around her and adopts herself to survive in the zombie populated world.

The story just jumps in to the main crux with a no-nonsense attitude, with people turning into zombies. As she escapes, she could see the world literally changing before her eyes with people attacking each other. The world changes from highly populated humans to highly populated zombies and it becomes a very difficult task to survive in this world.

In this scenario, she meets Clutch, ex-military, with whom she stays in as a refugee. And after a few days, the truth sinks in and she realizes that things are never going back to normal and she has to change herself to live in this world.

Thus begins her ordeal to train and fight zombies, the basic sustenance of how humans are surviving and the bigger issue of humans battling humans.

The writer has weaved the story before our eyes and it is a must-read story for people who likes fiction stories.

I will be back soon with an other interesting review 🙂

Hello wattpaders, once again! After taking a long break from Wattpad and this blog, I am back with a bang with a very interesting and psychological thriller ‘Trapped’! Read on to find more about it.

Kelsey Miller, a sixteen year old, was kidnapped, tortured and raped by two men for many months after which she finally escaped. She only knew one of the kidnapper and never knew the second person at the hands of whom she suffered the most. She was a virgin when she was raped brutally, and was left to bleed. She was shut in a cabin in woods and was raped repeatedly by both of the kidnappers and tortured mentally and was made to do things which would haunt her for life.

When she escaped after some months, she still was not able to identify the second kidnapper and the first kidnapper got away on a slight technicality. The horrors she underwent made her a dead person on the inside. She shut out everybody and spent her time trying to cope up and forget what happened, but instead spent time in relieving the past trauma. Her only pillar of support was her step brother, Luke, in whom she felt a safe haven.

When she was still in her depression, the most horrible thing that could ever happen to a survivor happened to her. She was once again forcefully taken by the same kidnappers, by mentally manipulating her by kidnapping an other virgin. Kelsey did not want anyone else to go through what had happened to her and so she fell into the trap again.

How did she come out of her second trap? And most importantly, who was the second kidnapper, who even eluded the police?

Read on to find out -> Trapped

With a mix of a psychological thriller and a very powerful narrative of the pain a rape survivor goes through, the author clearly reflects the feelings of the Kelsey to the readers. A definite read for people with a thirst for psychological thriller.

Hi again guys! After a continuous review of mushy-mushy romantic stories, I took a break from them to read a fictional one. What better than a science fiction for a different change!

‘Prodigy’ looks through the present and stands on a story featuring in the future. The future, from the eyes the author, consists of people who, after the impact of World War III, tried to have a peaceful life and never to let an another war like that, affect the humanity. Everything was automatic; even reading something to remember does not take much effort, because they just upload it to brain like hard drive!

There were a certain group of people, who was prodigal in the society. Among them was Alex, a girl with an abnormally higher IQ. She stumbles upon a discovery that would put an end to the mankind. Also, like in anytime there are a group of people with this knowledge, who try to escape this, without disclosing it to the common citizens.

Alex tries to save the humanity from the doom that is going to happen. But in her quest, she is being burdened with various truths about herself and about the type of government they have.

This is a like a breath of fresh air, with each and every small thing is being detailed to give the story a feel of how the future would be. Kudos to the author!

A really cool story for all these sci fic lovers!

‘White lies’ is a different kind of story in all ways. Usually the main character in the person would be shown with a good image and the plot of mystery is being forcefully dumped on the protagonist by the ‘evil’ character. But no so much here.

Jessabel Griffin, is a compulsive liar. She lies for……. well, she just lies. No reason. Even from a very younger age, Jess had the habit of lying. You would wonder how she got away with lying? The thing is she got away with it, alright, but not for a very long time. Sooner or later, she would be caught, not because she stumbled with her lies (no, she lied like a pro!) but because she would be caught with proof which says otherwise. And soon enough, everyone in the school learnt of how a habitual liar she is that she was branded as a social pariah. She was never had any true friends and she was okay with that.

Due to her spontaneous lying for no reason, she got caught in a murder investigation, in which she was the only witness to last see a hot and famous of their school, alive. She partially lied to the police about what she saw, then again to a group of another people. And soon enough, she became famous as the girl who witnessed the murder.

On her way to lying through teeth through this investigation, she is being asked to act with Nathan, the playboy kind of guy, to whom she lost her virginity. They both are asked to get inside information or any clues pertaining to the investigation. And as the romance brews between them, with the personal troubles from each of their own families, they stay together to uncover the real  murderer behind it.

A different kind of combination of mystery with romance to jazz up!

Hi guys! After a short break from blog due to the excess work in my University, I am back again with a new concept for the blog, ‘Pick of the Month‘! Pick of the Month will be a blog post every month about the wattpad story which I best enjoyed. This will be posted in the first 10 days of the month. Since this idea just sprouted from my head, the post is a little later this month. So stay tuned every month to get the pick of the wattpad! 🙂

This month’s pick is ‘Unhinged’, which falls under the genre ‘Mystery’. I know you guys have had lots of reviews of romantic stories that some men have requested to suggest equal amount of Mystery stories along with the romantic ones. So the first pick of the month is from the requested genre.

Dr.Alexis is a smart young woman who gives love advice on FM station and also holds sessions for couples separately. Alexis’ show is a great hit and everyone loves her. No, not every one. There is one stalker who starts off with harmless hints, but then it culminates into a full blown spree into harming her.

Alexis is with her brother, both of whom were adopted. The one woman show on FM station is changed into a conversation based one, with an attractive male counter part, a Dr.Ryder, with similar background. Things with the stalker guy also starts to whiz around madly out of control and when she can’t take it anymore she shares it with her brother and then follows the suspense of who the guy is.

The ending is however very unique. The author has posed two endings, one with different consequences for the readers to accept whatever they want the ending to be. the circumstances that lead to such scenarios are well tuned and matched for both the endings and it is brilliant!

Kudos to the author for showing a different perspective of the life of a FM host, whih is beyond all glitz and glamour.

A must try guys!

Mr.8 – A Paranormal Thriller

Title: Mr.8

Author: David J.Thirteen

Genre: Mystery

A little break from the majority romantic stories that I have reviewed, I decided to take a break from the romantic side and pick one from the ‘Mystery’.

This one, ‘Mr.8’, is a unique title which caught my attention so I decided to give it a try. It is a mix of mystery and a bit of superstitious ideas. Though the story seems simple in the beginning, it develops into a hardcore mystery, which can only be understood when read with full concentration. Since I’m all for the ‘Sherlock’ kind of stories, I decided to take it.

This is about a psychology professor Denton Reed, who is being asked assist in a murder case. The murder is followed by a series of other similar ones, with the similarity being the mark of ‘8’. The number 8 has been found scribbled all over the places of where the victim live. Denton decides to do a little scouting on his own, and stumbles across certain mind-boggling truths.

After the first half of the story, one would feel like the story is coming to an end, but it isn’t. It takes a more complicated side with certain aspects of humans that is very hard to understand and believe. The professor also finds that there is a group of guys hunting down and killing people doing on with the ‘8’, thinking they are bad. But after he catches them, he is revealed about more of the concept and the total reason behind it is revealed in a very confusing climax. I do not know whether it is me, but i saw many comments asking doubts about the climax. May be some of you guys are more brilliant than that!

Give it a try for a change!

Hell0 wattpaders! After a short series of posts other than reviews, we are once again back on our main track of wattpad stories review. Look through our next review.

AUTHOR: closet_anarchist

This is about the story of a teenage girl, Reed, whose mother is a matchmaker, who always tries to get her into some sort of date with random guys since she crossed 12 years. Fed up of her mom’s incessant match making trysts, she takes up the matter herself to find a boyfriend for her, or at least someone who would act in front of her mom as her boyfriend.

Now enters the arrogant, charming and handsome(the usual girls-drool-over type of guy) Parker, who rides a motorbike and is nothing like the type of guy her mom would approve. In order to get rid of Reed’s mom’s matchmaking and Parker’s ex-girlfriend’s relentless followups, they come to an agreement to act as girlfriend-boyfriend in front of them. As the two spends time together to convince everyone around us, as you would expect, they fall in love in each other.

The narration is good in the first half where the two talk and goof around. But the part where they express their love for each other is something which could be improved. Other than that, this is some cheesy story for the romantics!

Give it a try -> Stupid cupid

AUTHOR: RACHAEL(@clarifications)

‘THREE SECONDS TO MIDNIGHT’ is not entirely the usual kind of story that one could find in wattpad. It is more like a ‘revealing’ story from one’s point of view, about the concept of death. It also touches the biggest question of,’What happens when one dies?’

This short story perceives death as a person, or more importantly a form of human, who was indeed once a human being. It personifies ‘Death’ as a person doing about his work of taking person’s life away. It contains various instances of Death’s interaction with the souls of people that he took. This conversation also sheds some light on the concept that ‘What you sow, so you reap.’

More than just taking a concept out of people and personifying death, the author also beautifully indicates the amount of goodness, or the lack of it, that one does, shapes his afterlife.

This is not just another story to sit back and read with a cup of coffee. This is just a very short story that could be read in, like an hour. But it makes one to wonder about the possibilities of this story being true, or come up with one’s own explanations.

This is a fresh perspective to look at. Do take a look at it guys!
